About Isaac Kremer

One fateful Saturday last fall, I took a walk down Albion's main street. During that walk I became aware of the great beauty of the downtown area and felt a sense of wonder just being in its presence. Since then I have read some documents and spoken to many people who know Albion well. These experiences gave me the inspiration I needed to create this site.

This site is a monument to the labor of everyone from Albion's founders to the newest business owners, and a tribute to the great history contained within Albion's walls. Through wars and depression, Albion has survived. I am confident that it will continue to do so. So while it is not always easy to fully see the beauty of the town we live in, I have found a little perspective helps.

I made this site after I completed my freshman year at Albion College. I feel truly blessed to be at such a fine college in an equally fine community. I know your history, and after reviewing it, the ties that bind me to the college and city continue to grow stronger each day. I also realize that there have been some divisive issues and personalities that separated the city and college. I am very confident in the leadership of President Mitchell at Albion College, I believe his understanding and passion for people will improve the quality of life for everyone in Albion.

Positions I have held leading up to creating the site, were publicist for the choir and music department, and web designer for several departments and groups at Albion College. This site was inspired by the larger Chamber of Commerece site that I am creating right now. I had to take several pictures for that site, and then I got the idea to use them to make this site. Sue Marcos has been very supportive and a great representative of the city to me.

Finally, my outlook on life is that I believe "the best is yet to be." I think the greatest things that will happen to this college and town have not even been dreamt of yet by the people who will make these things possible, and anyone could be the next great leader in Albion to make these things happen. As a people, we are constantly building on the advancements made by those before us and contributing to a future we are unsure of, but one we are confident that will be better than our own. My contribution is that I share my love of Albion with everyone I meet, and do projects like this where it makes the Beauty of Albion more apparent. My hope is that this project will spark deeper and more meaningful relationships between people in the city and college.

Go on to the Beautiful City of Albion
