STARVATION LAKE: A Michigan Mystery

Starvation Lake

Bryan Gruley learned to play hockey on backyard rinks in the Detroit area where he grew up.
He and his two brothers and three sisters spent many weekends at their parents' cottage on Big Twin Lake in northern Michigan.

Bryan's first novel, Starvation Lake, is the first in a series of mysteries set in the fictional northern Michigan town of Starvation Lake.

BOOK REVIEW:

"In the dead of a Michigan winter, pieces of a snowmobile wash up near the crumbling small town of Starvation Lake-the same snowmobile that went down with Starvation's legendary hockey coach years earlier. But everybody knows Coach Blackburn's accident happened five miles away on a different lake. As rumors buzz about mysterious underground tunnels, the evidence from the snowmobile says one thing: murder."

MICHIGAN WEEK MAY 16-22

Michigan Week
We invite you to take part in the grand tradition of Michigan Week, an annual salute to the best Michigan has to offer.

For one week in May each year, Michigan residents are invited to celebrate all that makes our communities, our businesses, our schools and our collective heritage so very unique and worth sharing.

The local celebrations that take place around the state - from cities hosting large festivals to libraries and museums offering programs exploring community heritage to families and schoolchildren learning more about the state they call home - really are the heart of Michigan Week.

Stop into Books & More/Real Coffee today and see our window celebrating Michigan Week.

Sincerely,

Dorothy Dickerson, Rick Crandall
